love the pictures! i wish we all were visiting at the same time so i could've spent time with your fam! :( those standing swings are one of the only memories i have korea. that and hot milk machines. and using the whole bathroom to shower (i'm guessing they don't do that anymore..?)
My darling, Michelle is right! We were playing on the standing swings when we visited 21 years ago. She was only 5 years old. And Michael was 8. Wow, time flies. Those folk village pictures bring many fond memories of that time. We will be visiting again this time. Looks like there was no showing of traditional dance and music. It was fun too. Didn't have a chance to visit this fortress. It was built by the 22nd king from Yi dynasty to defend the area from possible Japan’s future invasion. Unfortunately it didn’t do any good. Japan colonized Korea about 100 years later. Thank you for these nice pictures. Love, Appah & Ommah
